BACHELOR IN NATUROPATHY & YOGIC SCIENCE (BNYS)

FIVE AND HALF YEARS’ UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL DEGREE IN YOGA AND NATUROPATHY ( PROPOSED )

 

1.ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

1.1    A candidate who has passed the 12th / 10 +2 / Pre-University   or any other examination considered equivalent thereto by the respective State Government with Physics, Chemistry and Biology is eligible for admission to the course.

1.2    A candidate who fulfils the above requirement shall have obtained not less than 50 percent marks in aggregate in the Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) at the qualifying examination provided the candidate has passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually is eligible for admission to the course.

1.3    A candidate who has passed with 50% marks in First year B.Sc. Course with Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology is eligible for admission to the First year B.N.Y.S., provided he/she has passed an examination in Physics (the syllabus of which is considered equivalent to the syllabus in Physics of 12th / 10 +2 / Pre-University) or any other examination considered equivalent thereto by the respective State Governments.

1.4    The candidates passed out with 50 % aggregate from10 +2  vocational courses with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany & Zoology) recognized by the respective Governments.

1.5    However, the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC shall be given a relaxation of 10 percent in the marks required.

1.6    No Candidate shall be admitted to the course unless he/she completes 17 years of age by 31st of December of the year of admission.

 

2   MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION:

2.1    The medium of instruction and examination in the Course shall be English.

2.2   However, writing of answers in the Theory examination in Sanskrit of First B.N.Y.S. Medical Degree examination may be permitted in English.

 

3. DURATION OF THE COURSE:

3.1    The duration of the course shall be 5 ½ years (Five and half years)

3.2    The course shall include a period of regular study of four and a half (4 ½) years, followed by a compulsory rotatory internship of one year.

3.3    The period of regular study shall be divided into four phases – first year of one and half (1½) years, and the Second, Third and Final years of one year each of the B.N.Y.S Medical   Degree Course respectively.
