Facilities at JKU
The facilities at Jagadguru Kripalu University are designed to cater to various needs of the students to help them devote their entire time towards productive activities. The University is spread over an area of 100 acres with naturally abundant lush green surrounding and landscaped gardens. Ample space and state-of-the-art infrastructure provide a perfect setting for the students to excel in their field of interest. JKU aspires to provide the students with a ‘Home’ away from home.
Students’ Activity Centre
The Students’ Activity Centre is designed to nourish the creative talents of the students, and help them develop dynamism and confidence during their stay at
Jagadguru Kripalu University. It is a place where ideas are born, passionately debated, and intensely rehearsed leading to the production of a masterpiece.
Sports Block
The campus will have a wide scope for sports activities. It has dedicated fields for all three popular team games, football, cricket, and hockey. There will also be a sports complex for indoor games such as volleyball and basketball. The students will have access to a fully functional gym fitted with the latest equipment.
Students Hostel
Jagadguru Kripalu University has comfortable hostel facilities for both girls and boys. The current hostels can accommodate about 100 students. Additional capacity is in the process of being developed. The campus will be fully vegetarian, smoke-free and alcohol-free, assuring a comfortable stay to the students. For students and staff living in nearby Cuttack or Bhubaneshwar, University buses will ply to bring them to and fro.
Staff Quarters
Jagadguru Kripalu Üniversity believes that the teaching and non-teaching staff are the core strengthof the University. 50 quarters for the staff and their families have been built, which will ensure a safe and comfortable stay inside the campus. Additional quarters will be added as the University grows.
Naturopathy Hospital
The Jagadguru Kripalu Yoga and Naturopathy hospital, located onthe JKU
campushas been serving the patients for the past five years. It is the most
modern naturopathy hospital in eastern India. A team of qualified naturopathy doctors, physiotherapists and naturopathy therapists cater to the patients. Yoga and diet form an integral part of the treatment. Patients come from far-off states of India, the UK, the US, Singapore, etc. to get their treatment.
Allopathy Hospital
The JKU campus has an allopathyhospital that has been functioning for the past seven years. It is run on a charitable basis by the JKYogIndia where about 100 patients are treated everyday by very senior and experienced doctors. The hospital provides free health access to thepoor people of the neighboring villages. The hospital has an eye clinic, minor OT, pathology lab, Siemens X-Ray machine and pharmacy where the patients get medicines at cost price.
Mandir and Sadhana Hall
At Jagadguru Kripalu University, the focus is on all-round development of the mind, body and the soul.There is a beautiful Radha Krishna Mandir in the campus where prayers are offered and keertans are sung both in the morning and evening. It is a place where one can leave all the worries aside and experience the bliss of being one with God. Various festivals are celebrated in the
campus with great enthusiasm. During his visits, Swamiji delivers lectures that offer insights on various questions hindering one’s progress in life. The discourses provide easy to follow solutions to achieve success in life and beyond.
Garden
Gardens will occupy about 40 percent of the total area of the campus. There is a beautiful garde near the Naturopathy block at present. There are already more than 100 fruit bearing trees on the campus. In future, each block will have its own garden, providing greenery and environment-friendly atmosphere
Shopping Centre
The University will have a shopping center inside the campus where students and staff can get all essential items at a reasonable price. Currently, the campus has a health shop that sells items required by the patients at the naturopathy hospital and a fancy shop that sells unique gift items, books, religious articles and clothing.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria at the campus is run on a ‘non-profit’ basis. Everyone can have quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a very nominal price. The University community and the visitors can enjoy the wholesome food provided at the cafeteria.
