Swami Mukundananda
Swami Mukundananda is a world-renowned authority on spirituality, yoga and mind management. He is a senior disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, and is the founder of the unique Yogic system, “Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog,” widely known as JKYog.

Swamiji was born on December 19, 1960, and spent his childhood in different parts of India. Unlike other children, he showed an inclination towards spirituality from a very young age. He spent his free time in meditation and in seeking answers about the goal of human life. All the while, he continued excelling in his studies, completing his B.Tech. from the reputed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and followed it up with an MBA from the equally reputed Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata.
His education did not provide the answers to his questions, and his yearning to know the Absolute Truth only grew stronger. Just a few months after joining a big corporate house, Swamiji concluded that it was not the life he sought.
After resigning from his job, he took up the order of Sanyas (monkhood) and set out in the quest for God-realization. He travelled to many places in India and had the opportunity to associate closely with various saints, reading and understanding their philosophies.
Finally, his search took him to the lotus feet of his spiritual master, Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj, whose immense scriptural knowledge and fathomless Divine love captivated Swamiji. Thereafter, he practised intense sadhana under the guidance of his Guru and studied the Vedic scriptures and the Indian and Western systems of philosophy.
Seeing his interest in Yoga, Maharajji entrusted him the responsibility of teaching the real meaning of Yog (union with the Supreme) to the world. Swamiji’s in-depth study and research of the various schools of Yoga culminated with the formation of “JKYog,” or “Yoga for the Body, Mind and Soul,” which blends the best practices of Hatha Yog with Bhakti Yog.

For the past three decades, Swamiji has travelled across continents, inspiring people in incorporating the knowledge of the scriptures into their daily lives. He reveals the secrets of the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita, Puranas, Shad-darshan, and other Indian scriptures with rigorous scientific logic in the modern context. Along with the Indian scriptures, he also masterfully quotes from the Bible, the Quran, and the Zend-Avesta. His pleasing personality adheres him to one and all, irrespective of their nationality or religious inclination.
For the upliftment of the souls, Swamiji started the Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust in India (JKYog India) and Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog, (JKYog) a non-profit organization in the US. He has established over twenty Satsang centers and one ashram in the USA and over 45 Satsang centers and seven ashrams in India. Hundreds and thousands of devotees throng to these centers to attend the Health camps, Yoga and Meditation workshops, and Naturopathy camps, to uplift their mind, body and soul.
